Standing With Communities in Their Toughest Times

When devastating floods hit Ramdas in District Amritsar in July 2025, thousands of families were displaced overnight. Homes, fields, and livelihoods were washed away — leaving communities in urgent need of relief and support.

Vatrukh Foundation was among the first responders on the ground, beginning relief operations on 28th July 2025 to support affected families with essential humanitarian aid.

Community Relief Collection Drives

To mobilise emergency support, three collection centres were set up in Ludhiana, Mohali, and Chandigarh. The response was over whelming — citizens, donors, and volunteers came forward with compassion and generosity.

These were distributed directly in the flood-affected villages around Ramdas, ensuring timely support to families in distress.

Safe Drinking Water & Rehabilitation Efforts

Access to clean water became acritical need after the floods. To prevent water-borne diseases and ensure safe drinking water, 63 Watsan Envirotech Water Filters were installed across affected localities.

Beyond immediate relief, construction of four new houses is currently underway to support families who lost their homes helping them rebuild their lives with dignity.
