Van Mahotsav, India’s annual festival of trees, celebrates the vital role that forests and greenery play in sustaining life on Earth. To mark this meaningful occasion, Vatrukh Foundation organised a large-scale Plantation Drives in villages aimed at increasing green cover, creating environmental awareness, and inspiring collective responsibility towards nature.

Volunteers, community members, students, and local partners came together to plant native and climate-resilient saplings in public spaces, schools, rural communities, and environmentally sensitive areas. Care was taken to select species that support local ecology, provide shade, prevent soil erosion, and contribute to long-term sustainability. Each plantation site was mapped and documented to ensure post-plantation care, including watering schedules, mulching, and monitoring survival rates.
