About the Programme

Cancer Care Camp in Doraha

Cancer Screening in a Changing Environment- Climate stress and environmental exposure increase health risks for women, while access to preventive care like cancer screening often declines in affected communities. To address this gap, Vatrukh Foundation collaborated with World Cancer Care Organisation and OT Transformative Foundation, a women’s cancer screening camp, providing breast and cervical cancer screening along with gynecological consultations and health awareness sessions. By bringing early detection services directly to the community, the initiative helped overcome barriers of access, stigma, and cost, reinforcing preventive healthcare as a key component of women’s health and climate resilience. The camp was organised through a multi-stakeholder collaboration, bringing together healthcare institutions, CSR partners, and community bodies:
