Creative Competitions to Engage and Educate

To inspire children, youth, and residents, a series of interactive competitions were organised:

• Poster-Making Competition — depicting the harmful impact of plastic pollution on our planet
• Cloth Bag-Making Competition — promoting reusable and sustainable alternatives to plastic bags
• Slogan-Writing Competition — encouraging participants to craft powerful environmental messages
• Open-Mic Session — where participants expressed their thoughts through poetry, talks, songs and pledges
• Strong Youth Participation
• Over 100 school children in Doraha enthusiastically took part in the activities
• Around 60 participants in Chandigarh joined the campaign and competitions

Their creativity, awareness, and commitment added tremendous energy to the celebrations and reinforced hope for a greener future.

• Encouraging segregation, recycling, and responsible waste disposal
• Promoting cloth and jute bags as daily alternatives
• Building lasting environmental responsibility among citizens

Our Shared Commitment

Municipal officials, teachers, volunteers, and participants came together to pledge to Refuse · Reduce · Reuse · Recycle plastics. The celebration underlined that plastic pollution is a shared challenge — and every small step matters. Vatrukh Foundation remains dedicated to creating plastic-free, cleaner, and greener communities across Punjab and Chandigarh through awareness, collaboration, and sustained action.
